The Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) chose ZREALITY to deliver a science conference in a realtime 3D virtual event space. The event will be conducted online from 6th to 8th of July 2020. More than 1.000 people have registered to attend the event from across the world, more than 25 speakers will share latest insights and 80 projects are being presented during 3 exciting days in a virtual world.
The cluster of excellence Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) comprises seven research units within disciplines such as physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, material science, and chemistry, covering all areas of Quantum Science and Technology (QST) from basic research to applications. Its main goal is to build a world-leading center in QST, with a multidisciplinary profile, addressing important scientific and technological questions. It links groundbreaking research with industrial partners, creating a unique environment for Quantum Science and Technology via carefully designed structural measures that will transform the existing scientific and technological environment.
The Munich Conference on QST 2020, organized by the Cluster of Excellence Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology, brings together its scientific community from all career-stages with international guests in academia and industry to strengthen the exchange of ideas and discuss the latest advancements in all fields of quantum science and technology (QST).
The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has affected all our lives and dramatically changed the status-quo, including how scientific events are organized. Therefore the second Munich Conference on Quantum Science and Technology will be held online from 6 to 8 July 2020 in a completely new virtual format which uses 3D and Virtual Reality to let users interact in a realtime 3D events space.
The event is powered by the ZREALITY‘s Sphere technology platform in cooperation with Meet Anyway for conferencing solutions. After registration visitors can visit a virtual auditorium, where all scientific talks are streamed live, with engaging live Q&A sessions are being displayed on a large video wall. Virtual galleries in the form of 3D Posters allow scientists to present their innovative solutions and discuss them in a video chat. The conference provides all facilities a conference visitor is used to such as allowing inspiring talks, interactive roundtables, innovative research, and discover the latest scientific and technological advancements spanning all areas of quantum science and technology. With ZREALITY’s technology the solution works seamlessly on the Web in any browser and on any device and visitors can even immerse in the conference space live in Virtual Reality with a push of a button.
More than 1.000 people have registered to attend the event from across the world, more than 25 speakers will share latest insights and 80 projects are being presented during 3 exciting days in a virtual world. „This project leads the way on using the Spatial Web to virtualize events“, says Michael Neidhoefer, CEO of ZREALITY. „Experiencing events online in a virtual world is highly engaging for any visitor. At the same time events can be conducted more efficient and reach more users compared to phyiscal events, which will make this technology a standard in events based solutions in the years to come.“
