“GRIDS” is compatible with a wide range of devices and operating systems, including Windows PCs, Macs & MacBooks, VR headsets from Meta as well as Android and Apple smartphones. The exact system requirements can be found in this document.
However, it is important to point out that it depends on the complexity of the room on which devices the Experience runs without restrictions. The complexity of the room is determined by the selected scene, the added content and the number of avatars in the room. ZREALITY can therefore not guarantee that rooms will work on the devices that are generally supported.
If it is particularly important that rooms can also be used on mobile devices without any problems, this should be considered when selecting and equipping the room and tested again and again. In case of doubt, it is recommended to create a separate, reduced mobile version of a room. Note: this is a completely independent room, i.e. in multi-user mode, a user only sees the other users who have also entered the mobile version of the room.

We would like to point out that these minimum requirements are not a hard limit. This means that “GRIDS” may also work on older and/or weaker devices. However, due to outdated hardware and/or software, this may result in limited performance or it may be that not all functions of “GRIDS” are supported. We therefore recommend using devices that are compatible with the minimum requirements mentioned.
Browser compatibility:
“GRIDS” is optimized for the latest version of the leading web browsers to ensure high performance and security. These include Google Chrome, Safari and Microsoft Edge. To use “GRIDS” on Meta Quest 2, it is recommended to use the Oculus Browser, which is specially optimized for VR.
It is required that users have the latest browser version installed to ensure access to all features of “GRIDS” and the best user experience.
Internet connection:
A stable and fast internet connection is required to load the 3D content smoothly and enable interactive experiences without delays. A minimum bandwidth of 10 Mbps is recommended for standard applications, while a faster connection is advantageous for events with larger user groups (15 Mbps).
Development and adaptation:
“GRIDS” offers APIs and SSO connections to simplify integration into existing systems and make individual adjustments. The platform supports WebXR for immersive AR and VR experiences directly in the browser without the need for additional plugins.
