ZREALITY and HyperloopTT present Augmented Reality Mobile Application visualizing the first Full-scale Hyperloop system

The high-tech Mixed-Reality (XR) company, ZREALITY announces the partnership with Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT), a Los Angeles based Hyperloop company, to launch a mobile Augmented Reality (AR) app visualizing the full-scale HyperloopTT system. Operated by ZREALITY’s Spatial Web platform ‘Sphere’, the app provides informative content and the 3D visuals of the system HyperloopTT is currently testing in Toulouse, France. The partnership aims to bring innovation closer to people in a more accessible and user-friendly way and envisions this mix of XR and mobility to bring synergy in various areas, including urban planning, passenger experience, and civil engineering.

Hyperloop moves people and goods at airplane speeds safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Passenger and cargo capsules levitate just above a track and travel through a network of vacuum tubes. Hyperloop travel allows people to live further from their jobs, changing travel time from hours to minutes and creates economic opportunities throughout the connected region.

“We are mobilizing humanity in a completely new way. It is immensely important for us to simply bring our innovation closer to everyone”, says Robert Miller, Chief Marketing Officer. This is why the partnership has developed a user-friendly Hyperloop visualizer. The expansion possibilities of the solution are far-reaching. Once the 3D data has been prepared accordingly, many other possible applications are conceivable. The Hyperloop system can be displayed in VR/AR completely immersively anywhere in the world with integration into a city situation, which is immensely important for city planners. VR is also able, for example, to show the customer journey of a hyperloop traveler by showing the path of a user from entering a hyperloop station, entering the capsule, to experiencing the interior of a hyperloop. It is also possible to realistically convey the feeling of space size or speed during a journey inside the capsule. In the capsule, VR/AR can play a fascinating role in in-flight entertainment, as the capsule has no windows, allowing passengers to enjoy a virtual view. Last but not least, the technology can be used to optimize the coordination processes between the project partners of the Hyperloop project, in which engineers exchange ideas virtually during the construction process.

ZREALITY has developed a unique technology to create and deliver mobile and web-based Augmented (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) Apps, and supports various tech, transportation and media companies, such as BASF, Corning Opel or ZDF, visualizing their products. ZREALITY Sphere’s unique tech brings computer-generated graphics in “3D” into the browser. This opens up undreamt-of possibilities, since products in VR and AR can be displayed on any device in the world, whether smartphone or VR/AR glasses and thus virtually anyone can experience the HyperloopTT system anywhere and any time.

“Our vision is that one day there will be a 3rd dimension of the Internet and we will be the ‘WordPress’ for VR/AR”, says Michael Neidhöfer, CEO of ZREALITY. “Virtual and Augmented Realities are the perfect medium for companies like HyperloopTT to present their solutions before they come to market. “With the HyperloopTT AR we are now taking the first step and bringing the disruptive transportation system with capsule into an AR App. “This allows me to put a full-size Hyperloop anywhere and for the first time understand how big and fantastic the system is that is being developed here,” enthuses Michael Neidhoefer.

The AR App is available for download on Apple App Store as of today. Android will follow soon. Enter the future with HyperloopTT and ZREALITY now!

About ZREALITY

In the future humans will work, communicate and interact in the “Spatial Web” and 3D content will become a natural way of experiencing products. Today there are still millions of products to visualize in 3D in high quality.

ZREALITY invented the world’s first multi-channel content management platform ‘Sphere’ for the Spatial Web. With Sphere, companies can present products in outstanding 3D quality on the web, in mobile apps and VR/AR applications. Sphere is a Cloud platform and as easy to use as ‘WordPress’. It enables the creation and publishing of 3D applications with dynamic content on any device without programming skills. ZREALITY helps companies to develop new business models with 3D content. Marketing and sales professionals can significantly increase product sales and make customer service teams’ processes more efficient.

ZREALITY currently supports more than 50 global brands including HyperloopTT, BASF, Corning, General Dynamics, Opel and ZDF. ZREALITY was founded in 2015 and has offices in Kaiserslautern Germany, Luxembourg and New York.
